Robert Heinlein Citizen of the Galaxy #3 of 3 eBook Robert Lazaro Eric Gignac Steve Erwin
This is the third of a three issue mini-series adapting Robert A. Heinlein's classic science fiction novel Citizen of The Galaxy, widely considered one of his best young adult novels. If your only exposure to Heinlein is from the film Starship Troopers, don't expect to find as much violence here, though you won't be disappointed in any other respects; the story is very engaging. Thorby's character reminds me of young Anakin Skywalker as a slave on Tatooine in The Phantom Menace. Likewise if your only exposure to Heinlein is his best-selling Stranger In A Strange Land or later adult novels like Friday, this is not an "adult" graphic novel, but an excellent one.
As far as I can tell, having read the book over a year ago, it's a faithful enough adaptation. The art is good, the writing good, the story clear. The images depict scenes very much as I had pictured them when reading the book. The "flavor" is just right.

Robert Heinlein Citizen of the Galaxy #3 of 3 eBook Robert Lazaro Eric Gignac Steve Erwin Reviews
Not at all satisfied with the purchase. The title said Citizen of the Galaxy 2 and 3. I bought those items under the impression they were continuations of the original. I'm not happy about the purchase at all!
Great artwork. Graphic novel is faithful to Heinlein's original story.
I don't like cartoon versions of good literature. I outgrew Classics Illustrated when I was ten!
For YA fiction, a challenging story with a variety of settings surrounding Heinlein's emphasis on responsibility, personal freedom and integrity.
It's great to see Heinlein's wonderful characters recreated with images. Of course the original book is available, but this 3 part graphic novel series is a welcome supplement to the novel. "Pop" Baslim, Grandmother Krausa, and especially the sultry Leda are fun to see in images. As with all of Heinlein's "juvenile" stories, timeless lessons are communicated through the experiences of the characters.
I have a tendency to push buttons too fast. Citizen of the Galaxy is a great series by Heinlein that I read in school. I'm 74 and thought I would enjoy re-reading this book. Actually, this is a comic book adaptation of the book I read. Not what I was looking for, but still I enjoyed reading it. I just missed the book I read when I was a kid. So, this is still Heinlein's book in a different form. You can't really fault Robert Heinlein in any form.
This is the third of three comic-type illustrated books featuring the characters in Robert Heinlein's juvenile novel of the same name. I purchased it by accident but it was cheap enough to get the entire trilogy. The three illustrated books follow three separate sections of the original novel, it cannot dwell deeply into the philosophies of slavery, family and wealth that Heinlein richly describes in the novel, but is adequate for its format. I would recommend it to young readers as an introduction to the master of science fiction.
